Lost time?

I am on the whole body routine as suggested to me, however after a maximum effort on this routine it seems as if i am slow in recovering. I am really sore (particularly hamstrings/glutes and lower back)and can only get 2 workouts a week in. My concern is injuring/pulling something since i can be a little headstrong. I want results now you know! I do warm up and stretch about ten mins before i begin. If believe my diet and rest is in order also. Do i just suck it up and do it anyway or is there another routine that i can use to train differently to get Mon/Wed/Fri done in the same week. Thats a good sched for me. Thanks to all!

Re: Lost time?

Starting with two days per week is perfectly fine. You are not supposed to max out on the number of days or sets or reps in the beginning, because that leaves you with no progress to make. All good routines should cause you to have significant recovery—that demonstrates that the stimulus for growth is significant.

Are you using 3 sets of 10 for most exercises?
