creatine and dextrose

is creatine and dextrose the some thing or do the same effect im a bit confused on the pre-made diets mentioned to use dextrose on the pre and post workouts so do i use dextrose or creatine??

Welcome to the forum.

Creatine and dextrose are not the same thing, nor do they cause the same effect. Creatine is a supplement that may help with making your workouts slightly more productive, by recharging your body’s source of energy for weightlifting. You can read about creatine in the e-book, beginning on page 229.

Dextrose is just a simple type of carbohydrate that helps spike your insulin and send glycogen to your muscles. You can read more about this on page 105.

You can use both in a workout drink, but creatine needs to be dissolved in a warm liquid, so you should not add that powder directly to a cold drink.
