Creatine and dextrose are not the same thing, nor do they cause the same effect. Creatine is a supplement that may help with making your workouts slightly more productive, by recharging your body’s source of energy for weightlifting. You can read about creatine in the e-book, beginning on page 229. Dextrose is just a simple type of carbohydrate that helps spike your insulin and send glycogen to your muscles. You can read more about this on page 105. You can use both in a workout drink, but creatine needs to be dissolved in a warm liquid, so you should not add that powder directly to a cold drink. |
