Post workout meal

Hello everyone because of time restraints I can only make it to the gym at night, I typically workout around 10:30 to 11pm my workouts usually end around 12:30AM. I typically have been taking a PWO shake after my workout Optimum whey protein shake 1 scoop followed by 1 serving of cottage cheese and half an apple for carbs.

I recently saw a new product online while browsing the bodyspace forums and wanted to know your inputs / thoughts on this product? it seems really good and well thought with the ingredients put into the shake / meal.

It's called Golden Gains http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/cl...ldengains.html
there is the link with the nutritional label, If I replace my post workout meal and just drink 1 serving of this will it be okay? or would you recommend what I have been eating before?

Thanks,
Ronald

Re: Post workout meal

Welcome to BBR, Ronald.

All that’s really important is the workout whey drink, which you can sip before and during your session. Then, when you get home, eat the cottage cheese (with some lemon-flavored fish oil, if you have any) as a pre-bed meal.

The product in your link costs almost $3 per serving, which is seriously overpriced for your purpose. It is mostly carbs, and you just need some slow-digesting protein and healthy fat before bed.
