Round 2 of Poliquin
I now have less than a week left to go for Poliquin Option 2 before I finish the total six weeks. I have experienced great gains in strength so far and so am thinking about doing another round after I'm done with this one. I just wanted to get a head start on figuring out my next accumulation routine and decided to post here.
Looking at Accumulation of Option2, here's my idea for the next round. Obviously I would appreciate critique or any suggestions on tweaks that should be made. Here it is:
(Same rest, number of sets, tempo, and rep range as other Accumulation routine)
Lower Body (Monday and Thursday)
A-1: Back Squat (Shoulder-width stance, last accumulation phase I did these with a narrow stance)
A-2: Stiff-Legged Dead Lifts? (I did these last time, but I don't have access to leg curl apparatus)
B-1: Back DB Lunges
B-2: Half-Dead Lifts in Rack + Shrugs
C-1: Some sort of Calf exercise (I've already done DB calf raises, and don't have a calf raise machine. Suggestions?)
C-2: Curl-Ups
Is that considered enough change from the last accumulation phase?
Upper Body (Tuesday and Friday)
(Same rest, number of sets, tempo, and rep range as other Accumulation routine)
A-1: Decline Pronated DB Press
A-2: Supinated Chin-Ups
B-1: Flat Bench Press
B-2: One Arm Arc DB Rows
C-1: Close Grip Bench Press
C-2: Seated Zottmann Curls
I have been considering swapping the order of the back and chest exercises, or in other words, performing back exercises before chest in each superset. I’ve read in the forum that this is good to do to make sure things are balanced. Would this be a good idea for Charles’s routine?
