Good Lord...feels great to be back in the gym

BBR,

Been a fairly long while since I last posted here and as the title implies it feels great to finally have ventured back. Over the last few years I have been battling one seriously pain in the arse shoulder injury and I can just about say I am fully recovered.

Over the last few weeks, with guidance from my personal trainer and physical therapist, I have just started re-introducing compound exercises back into my routine. Practically 100% pain-free with no impingement and minimal discomfort (gotta admit it kinda feels weird to bench after not doing it for a few years.) Also slowly waning myself off those boring wussy light shoulder workouts. Been a while no doubt, but being able to bench, squat, somewhat pull-up, and do other workouts I've missed for so long feels almost orgasmic

I've reintroduced myself with a steady dose of benching / incline bench, cable / t-bar rows, cable pulleys, squats, deadlifts, lunges, and some pull-ups on a 3 workout sessions / week basis Typically do some assortment / rotation of those in a workout and throughout the week for about 3 sets each in the 12-20 rep range, though not all cuz that would definitely be overkill. For example, last Monday did bench, deadlift, cable row, n squat, Wednesday did incline bench, t-bar row, n lunges, finished up friday with one-arm rows and squats and dumbbell bench. Oh by the way, it was awesome! Bro toolishness aside that I can't resist...

Anyways, feels great to be back and back writing on the BBR boards

Welcome back. Setbacks suck, but they are part of the journey, something everyone has to deal with at one point or another, and a potential learning opportunity also.
