Fat loss is controlled by your diet, not exercise. If you eat about as many calories as you burn or more, you won’t lose any fat no matter which exercises you do. Moreover, you cannot “spot-reduce”: ie, you can’t lose fat from only one bodypart. Therefore, losing a significant belly will take a phase of extended caloric deficits.
Have you successfully dieted before? This may seem like a silly question, but most people’s dieting experiences are unsuccessful. They regain the fat soon after the diet ends, they don’t lose much to begin with, or they overdo things and end up losing more muscle than fat. While losing fat and retaining muscle is not especially complicated, it does require a program that adheres to some proven practices. |
