Regular readers of t-mag know what I'm talking about. The '03 version is out now:

http://www.t-mag.com/nation_articles/285dead.jsp

Just out of curiosity, can anyone here name the real names of all the pseudonyms in the Pool?

The only obvious one (to me anyway) is "Da Man," who is Ronnie.

I know who most of them are but I aint saying. The rash of kidney problems is caused by diuretics not steroids probably, which is why they can have temp kidney shut down right around contest time.

I don't blame you, especially since you know a lot of them personally. What really trips me out is that they aren't even talking about roids as much, more the diuretics as well as X and the recreational action. Maybe some other Weider-mag-reading dude on here can hook me up...?

There is no doubt some of them are pure fiction. A few are easy to spot, the rest are probably fiction.

Why do you think they are pure fiction? I don't think it was intended to be a fictional piece Will, there's no irony intended in the article at all.

The article is intended as entertainment, and like most mags, they have no problems inventing things to make it seem they are "in the know" about such things when they are not. If you recall, the "editor" of that mag is the same person who ran another popular mag some years ago I wrote for. If they had named names however...

Good point Will! I wonder what Hacksaw Hawkins, Laszlo Hortobagyi and Brad Jeffries are doing these days?:D

Selling over-hyped supplements on the internet? I don't know.

Oh, no doubt there's some BS in there. TC has a very vivid imagination, no doubt at all. But there's a least some real people they're intending to talk about, although I doubt all the accusations about those people are correct. I just kinda wanted to see who they were talking about...it used to be easier when they talked only about Lee Priest, Paul Dillett, etc., now the dudes seem a little more obscure (some of them). And I agree, Simon, I wanna know who the hell the 400 pound supplement co. owner is?! This is the gossip, opinions, and BS thread, right?

The 400 lb supplement company owner is probably Trevor Smith of Nuclear Nutrition.
