It seems that although TwinLab may be a respected brand in this forum, not many people use the products. I do, however, so a few weeks back the news that the company had entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection was rather worrisome.

The latest is that the all assets (including, presumably, the Nature's Herbs division) are being bought by something called IdeaSphere (for more info see w w w.twinlab.com/story.cfm?story=74 ).

Has anyone heard any scuttlebutt about how this might impact the product line and quality? I've never heard of IdeaSphere.

thanks,

--Anthony

Anthony

I don't know but it sure as hell doesn't go in the 'Specific Supplements by brand name' section.

I have moved to the gossip, opionions and chat section

Thank you

I don't think Twin has been the same company for a long time now, but I don't see how this will change quality control in terms of what is in the bottle assuming they continue to do business at all. All the supp companies that went public have gone to sh&%.

Well didn't pHillips sell EAS, not sure if it went public, Weider was bought by somebody, not sure again if it actually went public or not.

Hey did anbody see that notification in MD mag about EAS agreeing to a 10,000,000 dollar lawsuit about some of their products.

You would have to find that info on the exchange I suppose. Off the top of my head, Weider, twin, natrol, but there are others.

So what does all this talk mean?

My gym (they aresome competing guys there) relied on Twinlab but lately there were complaints about the quality being very poor. Someone said it was because the stuff was now manufactured in Ireland..but maybe that is not the whole truth then?

I am presently using their Tripple Whey Fuel ...but I'd like some reliable stuff...protein that is..carbs I can add myself.

Will, some brand names for me, please?

All kinds of brand names are covered if you look around the forum.

Just go to the brand name sectionl look for protein powders with a 4 or 5 star rankings and choose from there.

Hmmmm....thanks I will look....I thought Will might not risk his name on this kind of a reply.....plus it is perhaps difficult to advice like this (matter of personal need and taste) but I thought I give it a try :-))
