As most of you know, the 2003 IFBB Mr. Olympia was recently held in Las Vegas Nevada. No shock to anyone in attendance was Ronnie Coleman walking away with his 6th consecutive Mr. O title. Ronnie was big (read freaky huge) and ripped and simply out muscled the competition. Like big Ron’s body or not, the man is a freak in every sense of the word. As with all successful Olympia winners before him (e.g., Yates, Haney, etc.), Ronnie dominates with his back. If anyone even looks close to Ronnie from the front, and few do, it becomes abundantly clear why he is six time Mr. O when you seem him from the rear hitting a back pose. Being the mags will have full coverage of the shows at the O, I will leave it at that.

The expo for the Olympia has continued to grow and may rival the Arnold Classic’s Expo in a few years. All of the major supplement companies were there, such as EAS, MuscleTech, Weider, Prolab, and many others. Now the after party at the House of Blues was something else! IFBB pro Craig Titus and partner Matt Cline put on the official after party as they have for other shows in the past year or so. I trained with Craig at his private gym in his house while I was in Vegas. Of course I had to take some weight off of the bar for Craig…kidding! The conversation went something like :

Craig “dude, you better get your ass out on that dance floor this time. I saw you standing around at the last party (referring to the Arnold Classic after party).”

Me: “Ok Ok, I will. I was a little tired at the last party, but I am good to go for this one!”

Suffice it to say, I did make it to the dance floor (stop laughing!) and as they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so if any of you were at that party and saw me out there, keep it to yourself! Nuff said…

The O was certainly a fun time...

I'm sorry I didnt make it to the House of Blues, but the M&F skybox was unbelievable!

Indeed :)

Speaking of which, I'll be in touch today or tomorrow, and do hope to catch a bite in Boston sometime soon.

Sounds good. Wish I could have afforded the $$$ and brain cells to go the Nationals. GNC show wiped me out!
