Hey guys/girls,
I'm in the market for a new mattress. I'm not looking to spend too much but I don't want a cheap bad quality one either. Do you guys have any recommendations?
thanks

The best mattress bar none is the Strobel. I went through several "high end" mattress's before I did a bunch of resrarch on the topic (because I research everything) and found the Strobel. Pricy, but worth every penny. See:

I purchased it, along with my chairs and a ton of other stuff, at the Relax the Back store. Store locator and info:

Will,
Why do you like this mattress so much? How does compare to tempurpedic? Which model did you go with?
I checked out relaxtheback.com and even called their 800 number, but they said that they don't carry Strobel mattresses.

The mattress has a level of sleeping comfort that no spring sytle mattress can ever match. The strobel has the same material as the temperpedic but also has a support system under that which I find better then the temperpedic, though plenty of people really like the temperpedics. I got mine at the Relax the back in Natick MA who sells Strobels. No idea why ther are telling you the phone. Perhaps call the Natick MA store and ask them what the deal is.

Will,
I went to relax the back yesterday and looked at the strobel and the temperpedic. I looked at the 4500 model of Strobel. Which model did you purchase. What did you think about the "celebrity" temperpedic mattress? It is the thickest one made.

So they told you on the phone they didnt carry them yet they do? Typical. They dont have different types of strobels at my store, sjust different sizes. I assume I have a Supple-Pedic Mattress mentioned on their site. Thickeness does not = comfort, I simply think the strobel is better then the temperpedics and they cost a little less. I like the firmness of the strobel over the tempepedics, and I assume thats due to the suport system under the foam the temperpedic lacks.

Will,
I was just curious if your recommendation still stands for your Strobel mattress. I will be purchasing in 1-2 months and just wanted to make sure you were happy w/your purchase.
thanks
