Gang ... whatever you do, REFRAIN from mixing Udo's Oil Blend with Oatmeal! A BIG WHOPPING "YUK-KO" in my book!

I personally prefer it mixed into a smoothie, MRP, or yogurt. But - once you get used to the taste (mildly grassy), it can even be taken straight.

Speaking of taste, double check the box - there should be a "press date" and a "use before" date embossed somewhere near the bottom. Flax oil and blends can go rancid quickly: always buy the freshest bottle you can get and keep it refrigerated! If it tastes too acrid or bitter, it could be going bad.

I have put Udo's in oatmeal before, and it tasted okay to me. Not that it would be a favorite, mind you, but it was not that bad.

Perhaps it depends on how much oatmeal and how much oil gets mixed. I normally eat a double portion of oatmeal.

Thanks Pizzaman and Elissalowe. Date is fresh, but I'll double the oatmeal portion and give it another shot. The thought of having to feel like gagging in your own vom-- just isn't very appealing to me. But hey, maybe it'll taste better with the right amounts. Got to exhaust all of my efforts before I can claim that "I tried", heh?!

On a positive note, I HAD AN AWESOME WORKOUT TODAY! I mean, I had never done 10 x 5 supersets before, and I feel marvelously great. We'll see how my body recovers tomorrow, but I'm telling you ... I so look forward to hitting the gym again, maybe later on today even. I know, I know, recovery period. Darn it....

I just take it straight. It's not so bad. I'll tell you what is though. First post workout shake I had was vanilla protien powder mixed with grape juice. YUK!! Hardest workout I've ever had was choking that down. LOL

What type of protein powder did you use? That is what I have as a post workout drink and I love it...

I chug Udo's. It tastes nasty enough, why mix it with good-tasting food and ruin that too.

yea, same here. it's easier to take my flax by it's self then follow it with food or a protein drink. The taste goes away quickly, until I burp ;)

I tried mixing it with all different things, but to me, it made everything taste worse, even worse than the flax by it's self IMO.

I use designer. It was what GNC had on sale at the time so I bought a tub of vanilla & chocolate. It's the first time I bought whey so it's all I've ever had. By themselves I think they taste OK. Niether good or bad, just OK. What do you use? I'll give it a shot next. :)

I use Optimum nutrition 100% Whey. I find it tastes really good. I wouldn't buy it at GNC though, way too expensive there.

I haven't been to GNC in years. It's so much cheaper online.

I went there recently to buy creatine because I didn't have time to wait for shipping. The guy never heard of creapure and they didn't have any micronised creatine either.

He told me creatine is creatine and that it doesn't realy matter where it comes from as long as it says 100% pure creatine. I bought the smallest bottle I could to hold me over then bought some online. When I told him that I usually just buy my supplements online he told me to compare prices because they (GNC) have some great deals and you don't have to pay for shipping, plus you can't find a lot of their "high quality" products online. I don't like to argue so I just said okay, I'll check it out...

Just another reason I'm so glad I got hooked up with MBN!!! Since being informed of much better sources by all you good folks here I dont go to GNC anymore. Ya know what the best thing about NOT shopping at GNC is? Not having them try to jam their *$%#!? vitamins down my throat every time I walk in the door. LOL

Yeah from my memories of the store they have a whole wall of 'Man-Vitamins' and so forth that take up half the store. Then they have 2 lb. Designer Protein marked up to like $52, gee what a steal. They tell you to come in on Ripoff Tuesday or whatever for 20% off...no thanks I can get lower prices everyday online. :D
