Muscletech has brought it up a notch. I just received a whole book advertising their supps as a gift with my last order from sndcanada.
This book is called "Get the Pump".
I'll give it a read to see if there is anything of relevance in there.

Bill Phillips, ex owner of EAS, really started that years ago with the Sports Supplement Reviews, which were actually not bad books considering theit marketing intent. I wrote chapter 11 for the third and last edition before he sold EAS.

Yes, the SSRs were not bad at all. There was a ton of useful info in them on diet and exercise. Also I feel that although they pushed EAS supplements, the message was not 100% about buying their stuff. They also occaisionally would advocate other supplement brands.

However, other mags/supp companies have tried similar books and they have not been up to par. Considering MuscleTech's magazine ads, along with the decidedly idiotic title, I can only imagine what this book is going to be like...

Yeah, I got that MuscleTech rag in my last bb.com order too. I just glanced through it...the info's not bad, but appears to be pretty basic stuff...lots of photos, and - of course - lots of plugs for Cell-Tech, Pump-Tech, and Nitro-Tech! As if the extremely massive individuals featured in the book got that way using MuscleTech supps. Uhhh, right.

Really?! I thought all the pros got that way from Cell Tech and they were completely drug-free. Damn, I've been had! :D

Yep just wasted some time with this one. apparently MuscleTech really wants to seel their PUMP-TECH Nitric-Oxide supp. Just pop 16 capsuls of the stuff and you'll have day-long pumps, you'll be pumped even when you sleep :D
And remember kids "the most important thing about bodybuilding is getting a great pump, that is what builds muscles" is pretty much the message this book is trying to put out. I know how much erp7e agrees with that one...

Hey, anything with "French Maritime Pine extract" has just got to be worth big bucks. You don't see many supps smart enough to include that well-known muscle-builder.

I think there should be a BBR line of supplements, and it ought to include ingredients like Siberian Hamster Insulin Treatment, C-Reactive Adipose Protein, and Nitric Oxide With Added Yohimbine, Tribulus, Homocysteine, Inositol, Selenium, Whey, Omega-3, Ribose, Konjac, and Spirulina. By trademarking our special compounds, we'll be the only company that can legally enforce the honest claim that its supps include SHIT, CRAP, and NO WAY THIS WORKS. We'll corner the market!

(Simon: You can thank me later.)

NoWayThisShitWorks-TECH: Contains up to 4 micrograms of whale sperm and llama pubes. I think I saw the ad on the back of an issue of MuscleMag on the floor at the grocery store today.
