I've only seen around an hour of it Alan. I'll be watching it this Thursday. From what i've seen of it ( which is about half the movie ) it's quite good but definitely worth watching.

I've seen it - it's available on DVD.

Overall, I thought it was worth watching - actually funny at times. Of course the basic premise is somewhat flawed: it's safe to say that there aren't many people who try to live off fast food 24/7, nor are there many who will gorge on the stuff past the point of satiety simply because the "Super Size" option is available. But I think the shock value of what Spurlock did put the fast food industry on the defensive (never a bad thing) and helped make people think a little more about their choices. Plus the segments on gastric bypass surgery ( ) and the "fast foodization" of school lunch programs are pretty good.

If you're interested in a more sophisticated look at the health/social/economic impacts of the fast food industry, read "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser.

Funny you mentioned that Elissa. I actually have that book. A friend of mine recomended it to me so I'd have something to read when I was getting on a plane to the west coast.

I skimmed through it a lot and found some interesting stuff in there, but I never read it all (yet).
