Elissa, I am very surprised that (that with all your knowledge and research skills etc) one of the major magazines hasn't hired you yet. You'd be a great asset to a mag lke Men's Health etc.

Truth is, it wasn't until the last 6 - 7 months that I'd even considered making any kind of career out of fitness-related research and writing. It certainly wasn't what I started out in life to do, and - as vivid as my imagination is - I never could have anticipated the chain of events that have brought me to this point in time. It's been an interesting journey, to say the least...

I appreciate the encouragement - from you and the other members, and also from Will and SIMES - who have gone out of their way to create opportunities for me. So you may yet see my byline in a mag one of these days... ;)

Thanks Ad!
Elissa

P.S. You've made my day!

Someone needs to hire her...her writing far surpasses most of what you'll find in a popular magazine...the only caveat is we don't want to lose her here!

I think she'd still stick around here. I don't think contributing to a Mag would take up as much of her time as say being a resident in a hospital and I think one of the mods here does that.
She'd have to dumb it down for the mags too so it really shouldn't take her too long to write for them... :D
She can probably write 5 mag articles in a day and collect 5 months pay right there, you'll be rolling in the dough in no time if you start that Elissa :)

LOL - last March, we did lunch with "The Author" hisself - who assured me that writing was no way to get rich. And that's not the first place I've heard that.

Nuthin wrong with simplifying things though: if you talk over people's heads then who'll want to read it? But I'm not sure the mags would want me anyway...they'd want me to write stuff to help them push supps, not trash them! :D

That was my thought.

What magazine is going to pay you to explain how worthless the supplements are that they are advertising?
