Holy Cow is Star Wars Revenge if the Sith a great addition to the series. It’s everything the series should have been. It was good enough to (almost) make up for the last two. I refused to go see Sith in the theaters after being burned so bad by the last two. As good as it is, I was sad while watching it as all I could think of was why it took so long for Lucas to do it and what a waste of time and money the last two in the series were. Revenge of the Sith is an adult movie and very dark, not the ridiculous kiddie movie that was the last two movies. Revenge of the Sith gets back to the formula that worked, and actually pays attention to the plot and the acting, vs totally relying on special effects as the last two movies did. If you are fan of the series, this final film delivers in spades, though it makes me wonder what the series could have achieved had Lucas done this with the last two movies, which were a lesson in how to destroy a legendary Sci Fi series. Don’t know is Lucas finally listened to his fans and critics, or it was a fluke. Regardless, it gets an A from me.

I don’t know why you are confining your comments of “ridiculous kiddie movie” to only the last two. The third movie, Return of the Jedi, was so contrived it would have been better airing it on Saturday morning TV along with the other kiddie shows.

You are right about Revenge if the Sith. My fifteen year old granddaughter, who saw it with me in the theater, said it was awesome even though she did not care that much for the previous ones.

Clearly, Return of the Jedi was where the series started to turn for the worst, but I consider it a far better movie then the last two as mentioned. Sith is most like The Empire Strikes back, which was the best in the series by far.

I thought Sith was a distinct improvement but still no great shakes IMO, I get the distint impression I am just now to old for films of this ilk to really be impressed by princesses, and giant bears and gay robots.

Just doesn't hack it any more for me, but it was by FAR the best of the new three films.
